I got props at work today...TWICE!

After being called a 'roaming eyed pervert like from a horror film' and being accused of ogling a woman in her bathrobe (which surprises both me AND my husband of almost 25 years) I was very grateful today to receive 2 compliments. 1 to my work ability and 1 to my character.

Guest who was vegetarian was extremely grateful that I explained to her one of the items is cooked on a grill where they cook meat and offered to saute items instead. She was very pleased and said that THIS was the kind of service she expected from a hotel of our caliber.

And the other guest was someone who accidentally gave me $90 cash as a tip, not realizing that there were 4 $20 bills instead of what he thought he had given me. When I returned to his room he asked what he had given me. I was honest and told him that I had not looked and merely put it into my pocket. I handed it back to him and he started counting. He thanked me for my honesty and gave me $20 for delivering some sheets and pillows for him.

All-in-all I think it was a pretty freaking good night.
