The worst thing about insomnia is the late night TV ads.
Eggies...need I say more? Some molded plastic gizmo that you can crack an egg into. Comes out with a flat bottom so it stays on the plate....you don't want eggs rolling around the kitchen and apparently it takes hours to take the shell off a hard boiled egg. And then there is some cover for the back seat of your car with especially made holes that fit around the seat belts so your pooch can slobber, drool, poop and shed like a Bigfoot in July with no harm to your car. They say it is washable. After all that I think I'd just throw it in the burn barrel. Then CNN tells me that Americans have downloaded 15 billion apps.
There are 15 billions apps? I don't even have a smart phone. Don't get me started on that meatloaf pan thingy. No wonder I can't sleep.

1. Pajama jeans. That's what I saw 3X last night.
They're not for me personally, but I can kind of see the appeal, sort of. The part I don't understand is the $39.99 price tag. Seriously, WTF?

2. And they run on every freakin' channel...
sometimes the same bizarro ad is running on several channel simultaneously.

The news networks aren't broadcasting news.. just rerunning the programs from
several hours ago.

I find it appalling that we pay top dollar for cable tv,
and once the late night lineup is over, its commercial/infomercial heaven.
The networks aren't making enough charging us for cable/satellite/direct TV,
no, they want to charge the marketers of products that were too lame for
direct sale thru stores or distributors.

There are times I am up in the night...
and its almost impossible to find even a movie to keep me company.

I end up with the weather channel and the internet.

29. That actually looks like something we could use here
My mom had a bout with c-dif back in March and ever since then her stomach has been really sensitive and feeling mildly ill.

She east a lot of hard-boiled eggs because they don't upset her stomach like other proteins do, and she eats them a lot as egg salad or an egg-salad sandwich.

Bread, eggs, and some sort of high-protein Ensure-like thing are a large part of her diet. :-(

I wonder if she's like something like this...

4. I've discovered there is a class-action lawsuit for every pharmaceutical and surgery on the planet.
"I am a non-attorney spokesperson. Have you or a loved one suffered X, Y, or Z from Screwitol? You may be entitled to monetary compensation."

And these ads roll, one after the other (I have seen three in a row for various drugs or medical procedures).

12. We usually end up throwing it out. The cat scratch pads were a great hit
with the cat. Still works a year later. The wallets were crap. No room to put any cash anywhere.

21. Those ads were a hoot!
And the dog was sometimes a monkey, a giraffe, you name it. Never a dog that I recall.

When I get insomnia I watch Criminal Minds. No wonder I can't sleep!

I liked the spoof on the TV ads with the neck basket so you can keep everything right where you can find it.

I may get one of those. Since they'll send two for $19.99, do you want the other one?

Acutally, that one looks like it might work.

And I like the one for the spice rack that slides in and out and sideways. That looks kind of nifty.
