I Heard a Rumor that Summer Heat Makes Cats Lazy
I don't know if it's true or not, but I got word that summer heat takes the starch out of cats. They're usually so peppy, so I consulted my panel of experts.

Is it true that cats get lazy in the Summer?

No, that's just something you heard.

There's no truth to the story at all.

Did some DOG tell you that?

Let me get back to you on that.

5. It is just a rumor
cause my guy and I tried for 15 minutes to get the neighbors' cat off of our other neighbors' roof this a.m., to no avail. He chose to scratch his neck on the chimney instead.

go figure

6. Lazier, not lazy
My apartment is impossible to keep cool and comfortable when it gets into the high 80s or higher. Butch views this as an excellent excuse to sleep an extra 2-3 hours a day, which puts him at around the 18-20 hour mark.

8. They are more than merely lazy.
When it's hot they do this seemingly impossible thing - they sort of melt into a flat, furry puddle. I believe cats are made of something like Silly Putty.

12. I have been noticing that with my "new" cat
that I adopted last fall. 18 pounds of fur and chub spreads out like an oil slick when he decides to snooze out on the floor.

9. Cats Are Not Lazy.
Inferior species like dogs and humans bore them.
