Question for DU's Bakers
Hey!

Can a dough made with baking powder be left safely in the fridge overnight or must it be baked right away? I know pancake batter's okay to, but this is 'dough' dough.

Thanks.

1. As long as you used double acting baking powder
(the most common kind out there) you should be fine. You'll lose a little bit of rise or spring, but double-acting powder reacts when it's mixed with a liquid, and then when it's exposed to heat.

2. thanks
this doesn't look like a bread that gets a lot of rise, anyway.

and if it comes out badly, I'll just blame you!

3. Let it warm up to room temp before putting it in the oven...
just a suggestion.
