A long time ago, probably about 10 or 11 years ago, I had the most wonderful recipe in the world for a Balsamic Vinaigrette.
I remember now only a few of the ingredients. It had Balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar, safflower oil, another oil, a dab of mustard, some sugar, garlic.....and I don't remember what else!!
It was perfect. I especially liked it when I made pasta salads, where a lot of different ingredients, like tunafish, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, etc. could be mixed into the salad as well. It was also unique in that the vinegars were the major players, not the oils. I like my dressings a little tart, and it was better for the pasta because it didn't have an oily taste.
I have looked everywhere for it. I've googled it until my eyes and fingers were sore, and while there are lots of other recipes, they don't have the nice complexity that the one I want had. Yeah, I might end up with one of the other ones anyhow, but I have a special occasion coming up on the 3rd, and I wanted to make that specific recipe.
I found it online, so it's got to be "here" someplace!
Anyone have something close?
