Anyone Know How To Get a DVD Out of a Computer?
So, I got a dvd stuck in my Mac. I've tried unplugging it then turning it back on, restarting it, and basically hitting the eject button more times than I count. Nothing. Any suggestions? I don't want to have to take the computer(which works just fine in) but the movie is a Netflix movie that I have to eventually get out. Has this happened to anyone before? Any advice would be appreciated.

1. There should be a small hole on the front for manual release.
Insert a tiny rod into it and push.

Can't find a hole. Here is what my computer looks like. I only see a slot. Thanks anyway.

7. find the device
on the finder then right click then select eject. If you don't have the right click feature turned on, you can do that under the system pref. area.

11. There used to be a few commands you could type into the computer that would
open your dvd player automatically. It was called something like 'coffee break'....the joke being that with the dvd player open you now had a place to put your coffee. for the life of me I can't remember what the commands were. But I know it can be done.

12. No, but I got a DVD stuck in my DVD player once.
It was also a Netflix movie. I had to take the whole DVD player apart to get it out.

13. Paper Clip - there should be a small pin hole by the eject button
you can use that to manually open up the DVD/CD player

14. Happened to me last night.
Did the ol' reboot. When the DVD icon reappeared on my desktop, I was able to eject it. Right click? If not, try the left.

15. On Intel Macs, hold down the trackpad button during boot.
That ejects the disc.
