Another video of a sort of Rube Goldberg setup - but it isn't. Obviously someone with a lot of time on their hands and lots of Legos and money!

Still......cool.

2. Want.
If I am ever so rich that I can do all the charity I want and still have money left over, I will own more legos than you. any of you.

3. Possibly the best toy ever invented.
My youngest son was a total Lego guy, still have boxes and bins of them in the attic, all the parts from different sets all mixed up, pirates and spacemen all jumbled together. I find them all over the house too in various hidden away places. We were always stepping on the little suckers!

5. I've got that black controller marked "2" and the train track - no monorail?
I expected to see the monorail in there somewhere. I've got one of those also. Over ten years ago, when the kids were young, we built a Christmas train and Christmas monorail around the tree (interwoven - monorail has sections that take it to an elevated level and back to the floor). The train/monorail cars held candycanes, chocolates, etc. Both wound their way through a Lego Christmas village that even included a nativity. The girls made their own nativity out of Duplo. Damn was that a cool setup. I've got pictures somewhere, but they would have been 35mm.

Now that I think about it, that controller WAS for the train. The large yellow dial was the speed regulator - forward and backward. The track even came with two switches! The monorail's controls were manual. The middle section was the motor and it had a switch at the bottom - forward, backward, stop. You turned a dial that slid rails in from either side to one of three positions and when the motor hit the rails it would change the switch setting. It worked.

I've still got all of that stuff and parts going back to the early 70's, including a manual-crank conveyor belt. There are much cooler parts now, but some of the old ones are still my favorites.
