What an interesting house!

I love the idea of being a little bit underground...must be the hobbit in me!

I wonder what they did for drainage? They must have provided for that.

My husband (engineer) assures me there are ample methods of providing for drainage. I like those kinds of homes, too, so long as there is a nice above-ground patio and a fair amount of windows on one side. Would make for extremely efficient heating and cooling, too.
