"The Music Man" (the film) fans! Ever notice these two errors?
I noticed these for the first time this week, after watching this film countless times.

1. 1. At the end of "Trouble", when Marcellus points out Marian to Harold, note the woman in the foreground. As the crowd starts singing the reprise, she begins early, stops, and corrects herself.

2. At the beginning of "Marian The Librarian", note how Shirley Jones physically hesitates before stamping the first book, as she would otherwise be early on the musical cue.

1. Love that movie.
I might have to go see if I can stream it to check your errors out.

Every now and then I just HAVE to say "ONE Grecian Urn..."

3. The first movie my parents took me to. Always had a soft spot for it.
Never noticed the errors, though.

5. I'll tell!
So many little bits of dialogue have made their way into our family language. Meredith Willson was a genius. Everything about Music Man is endearing.

Willson's books, incidentally, are supposed to be quite entertaining. "But He Doesn't Know The Territory" is written about the writing of "Music Man." And his book of reminiscences is titled "There I Stood With My Piccolo."

The hardcover books are scarce and can be quite quite expensive.
