What'd you do for Memorial Day? Here's what I did...

I worked. Okay, actually I sat in a truck stop over 2,000 miles from home, waiting for a load going back west. Maybe I'll get one tomorrow; maybe I'll spend tomorrow night here too.

1. First big thing was remembering how much I forgot about cutting rafters
Only botched one and have a good pattern for making more.

Then I talked neighbors into going to the river for a swim.

I'm currently "air-drying" lol

2. My dear cherokeeprogressive!
Cool truck!

I like the bearded guy too...

I sure hope you get a load tomorrow, so you can come home!

And what did I do?

I went to the Hermosa Fiesta this morning, and late this afternoon, I did my grocery shopping!

I'm tired.

:hi:

3. You're so lucky! How was the weather? My wife said Big Bear Lake weather was dandy.
It was about 95 here today with about 1,000% humidity. On top of everything, my AC went out. Got that fixed though. Boy am I glad the company pays for maintenance on the trucks! Now it's nice and cool but I can't run the air conditioner without idling the truck and the company HATES that.

How nice it would have been to be at the beach at an arts and crafts fair!

How did your knee hold up?

5. The weather has been beautiful today!
Warm, mid-60's, little breeze, sunny...Perfect!

My knee held up pretty well...it was starting to complain when I got home from the store, though...

I was VERY happy to sit down!

4. Nothing interesting!
I have been trying to get the flower beds weeded so I can plant four flats of annuals that are either drowning or drying up. It is too hot and dry to actually plant them right now.

When it got too hot to pull one more weed, I went to the mall. In spite of the Memorial Day sales everywhere, the mall was practically deserted. Guess people had better things to do! I bought my hubby a Father's Day gift though, so it was successful! :)

Great pix, cherokeeprogressive! Thanks for sharing. Hope you get home soon.

6.  Loving Wife and I went to a Military Rifle Match
She used her M1 Garand and I shot a 1917 Remington 30-06. All shooting was benchrest at 200yds.

Over 100 shooters there and a good time was had by all.

8. I worked as well.
Until 4, then I came home and napped. Since the nap I've been watching Scrubs on Netflix.
