4. I can recommend a BAD fluorescent hair coloring product
Do not, whatever you do, go for permanent flourescent color. My lady friend decided she wanted pink highlights. (She's 48.) Went to the hair stylist and got permanent pink color. It turned very light pink in a week.

I sent her to my stylist. Comes back with a different shade of pink that lasted two weeks.

She goes back to her stylist. Back to the original pink, back to the one-week lifespan.

I told her to stop using the permanent pink, just get the parts she wants pink bleached and use Manic Panic to turn it pink. That works--and the shit lasts a month in there.

that looks like a faded old tutu, it's not my problem: I just want to be able say "Oh, I'm surprised! I heard such good things about this product!"

:D

6. The stuff in the jars actually works.
My stylist explained it, kinda: permanent hair color integrates itself into the hair shaft. The fluorescent pigments won't go in, so they wash away in two or three shampoos leaving you with an ugly light pink mess.

Semi-permanent fluorescent color is more of a hair paint. It glues the pigment to the outside of the hair shaft, so as long as it's glued on it stays nice and brilliant.

And yes, Manic Panic is the best semi-permanent color going. It's bright and lasts a long time.
