You get to take two books (one non-fiction, one fiction), one album and one movie to the Rapture:
Name them.

I could cheat and say Encyclopedia Brittanica for non-fiction, for instance, but I mean ONE fiction, one non-fiction and a single movie and album (double album OK). This is of course impossible, so there are no right or wrong answers.

Off the top, and I would likely change them if I ever engaged in any deep thought:

Fiction: Grapes of Wrath - Steinbeck (ask me again in a half hour and it will change).

Non-fiction: Battle Cry of Freedom - McPherson (OK, Civil War buff. Bet a lot of science fiction shows up here).

Album: Let It Bleed - Rolling Stones (this one kills me. Beatles, Sinatra, Hendrix, Motown and Mozart would be nice, too).

Movie: Casablanca. (Ah, what the hell. Seen it a bunch, but any one movie is going to be seen a bunch. May as well memorize the whole damn thing).

Don't forget to bring an extra pair of glasses.

3. You won't need glasses.
Your body will be healed to perfection, or possibly superhuman perfection, so you should be able to read everyone's books, no matter where they are :P

Okay, my choices:

Fiction: my own book, Djinnfied, still unfinished.
I can then just give it away by telepathy once I'm done. I should be able to corroborate all of the New Age spiritual concepts in it, too, 'up there'.

Nonfiction: The Cake Bible by Rose Levy Berenbaum.
I can eat all the sweets I want and never get sick!

Album: Mike Oldfield - Songs of Distant Earth.
Seems appropriate.

Film: Airplane!
I don't yet have it fully memorized.

4. What, no Tubular Bells?
Mike Oldfield - That brings back the memories of Utter Decadence, 1974.

I'm not sure what we were smoking/taking back then, but Tubular Bells fit right in.

5. I considered Tubular Bells
and the various remakes since then, but Songs of Distant Earth was so good that my past-wife (ex) and I used it for our wedding music :D
