Trooper Quintero was performing a traffic stop on Route 1 in Rockland. While speaking with the vehicle's operator, Trooper Quintero noticed a man in the parking lot of the Puffin Stop gas station. The man was identified as Aaron Buckingham, 19, of Hope. Buckingham had reportedly pulled his pants down and was bending over at the waist exposing himself in the direction of the trooper, while cursing and pointing at his backside, state police said. Buckingham was arrested for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. Buckingham reportedly explained that he was exposing himself in an effort to direct the trooper’s attention away from the traffic stop and toward himself. While driving to the jail, Buckingham was advised that he was successful in getting the trooper's attention.
