So since you guys never hear anything about it. Saturday was the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Ahhhh .... the Eurovision Song Contest is so trashy, it is fun to watch it together and comment on the performances :)

6. Back in the early 80's

We used to sit around watching Eurovision, voting on the songs. Out of politeness, everybody would vote for songs representing countries people in the room were from.

8. Seems to be still this way

neighbors vote for neighbors. You can say up front who is voting for who. They changed the voting a bit a couple of years ago, where the callers count 50% (instead of 100%) and a jury counts the other 50%. That way the East European countries don't have such a power as they used to be.

East Europe: Fighting each other on the streets but voting for each other at the ESC. :eyes:

I think the 10th place is very decent for her. The field is close together, so it is totally alright.
