How many people still use their local newspaper's TV Guide, or the "TV Guide"?
I am in a hotel 3,000 miles from home and it's the first time I have used one in quite a few years. I normally use the guide on cable to see what is on or check the internet. Being three hours off, the newspaper's guide actually is coming in handy!

5. I was undecided whether to pick...
...the cat or the "Union Yes" for my avatar. I ended up tossing a coin.
I have three kitties, and they are very adorable.

2. the newspaper guide doesn't show all the channels
...and the magazine that comes from comcast is so tightly printed that it's a pain to read. I never thought about using an online guide.

4. That used to be my job, writing those TV listings for the newspapers.
Believe it or not, pretty much all of them come from the same place. With newspapers on the decline, a lot of the data now goes to satellite guides or online listings, but I still prefer the ones from the newspapers... :hi:

8. I just look it up online because I don't want to spend the money on the TV Guide.
And these days, the majority of the pages of it are articles. They don't give a plot description of every single show like they used to; they certainly don't have pages for non-prime time hours. I also hate the grids; I prefer the pages listing shows like they used to.

12. Nope
I'm lucky if I use the TV. Between constant changing of the times of my few favorites, the fact that there is very little watchable on and the fact that the newspaper guide is incomplete, TV has gotten to be too much trouble. If I can't sleep I'll use the on-screen guide to look for some rerun that's watchable, but that's about it. I watch more shows in rerun than I did when they were actually on.

13. I just listen to the news all the time. I have no clue about recent dramas or comedies.
I never see a tv guide.

14. I do.
It's conveniently located on the same page as the crossword puzzle so I check it every night.

15. I do, too.
We get two Sunday papers, so I keep them both. Don't know why I bother. I only watch the same 2 or 3 shows every week!

I do check for movies and stuff like "Masterpiece Theater" though.

16. I use the DirecTV listings but if I want to check ahead more than a week
I use TitanTV.com. I can pick only the channels I have as favorites and easily hunt for shows. I'll have to try it out when we're on vacation this fall - I bet it will be a big improvement over the listings for the cable service.
