1. That has to be fake - perhaps an art installation. Or else it's some crazy ass experiment.
No one would ever wire a data center like that, not even Shrubbie or Palin. Especially one that big. Any place that could afford that much equipment can afford to hire more than a drunk orangutan to wire it up.

2. Believe it or not, some data centers look like this
At the company I last worked at, when people disconnected disk arrays, they would leave the old cable there rather than try to fish it out

As a result, something like this was there, making it even worse

3. I spent an entire weekend straightening out one that looked a lot like that.
The guy who had been in charge (before I was hired) was a fat lazy slob who spent most of his time playing Half Life. I made him cut that out, at least until after hours. I would have fired his lazy ass but his dad got him the job because he went to school with the owner. He wouldn't let me fire him. Talk about a free lunch - and damn could he eat some lunch.

4. Super secret project to replicate the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Failed because the bosses thought rainbow pasta would "look gay."

5. That's what happens when you let the software folks do the patch cabling
and not the Cable Guys!

Wonder how much equipment has been smoked because there is no airflow.
