Please explain the Pippa Middleton thing to me, because I just don't get it. I mean, sure, she's pretty, but what is it that makes folks who prefer women go all ? Thx! :hi:

She's a lot of the things that today's males tend to find attractive- pretty, slender, tan, shapely...also relatively wealthy and, now, a pseudo-celebrity.

FWIW, I don't understand all the uproar- her photos aren't particularly revealing or troubling. Tabloids just need gossip, I guess.

I'm experiencing the legendary discrepancy between "what men (and women) find hot in women" and "what women think men (and women) find hot in women". If you know what I mean. I think Kate's much prettier and I just don't think Pippa's all that arresting, to make her stand out so much. (It's my fault, I know. I'm clueless. :P)

For all we know Pippa may be interested in, and perhaps someday marry some local-yocal from her town. And just because Kate married William, who is to judge as to her motives why? Maybe she was simply in love w/the guy.

Unless there is something that I am missing, which is entirely possible (;-)) I prefer to take these young people at face-value unless given a good reason to think otherwise.

It's about mindset, attitude, a come-hither look (which is mostly around the eyes), and how she moves.

Anyway, to paraphrase what was once an advertising slogan for Avis, she "tries harder."

Another way to put this is that she likes men, and does not try to hide that fact.

Hey, we all like certain "types", or there's some specific quality in a person that makes us sit up and take notice and go "ah-OO-gah"--that's just human nature. I just, for the life of me, can't figure out what makes her stand out in a crowd of millions of young ladies, many who are just as attractive (if not more so). I'm looking for a clarification on that "je ne sais whatevuh" that is Miss Pippa's allure. Still searching...

She's really pretty. I really don't get all the negative comments about her having a mannish face, or disgusting cans, or whatever else.

The only think I can figure, is that some people want to judge celebrities' looks by a harsher standard than they would an ordinary woman (if there is such a thing).

And I wouldn't criticize her face or her "cans" or any other part of her in the least. (Heck, I wouldn't mind looking like her--gads!) It's just that she's getting SO much "hubba hubba" attention, so much more so than any other beautiful young woman at the moment, that it makes me curious as to which quality of hers that's rocketing her to the top of the "WANT" list. Could be a physical attribute, could be her confidence as was mentioned upthread, could be something else entirely. :shrug:
