Does Drew CAREY actually DO improv on all his improv shows?!1

I had a negative preconception about him back to when he hosted LIMBOsevic on his old sitcom, while I never saw his shows while they were new, only saw the sitcom after it went to cable and in daily doses that allowed for tracking the character development and concept development speeded up.

Only saw the improv show a few times, and it was always like, him at a desk dictating to a troupe what theme for THEM to improv on. It was like he was never taking the risks or actually being funny, just dumping it on the others.

Now he seems to have another improv thing on the Game Network, so I ask: Is he an improv coward?!1

1. He usually participated in the final sketch at the end of the show.

But he wasn't all that great at it, at least not compared to the giants Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles.

That having been said, Who's Line is It Anyway is one of the funniest damn shows ever made. I don't think there was a single episode that didn't have me laughing out loud, and often in tears. So good on Mr. Carey for trying to bring it back in some fashion.

2. The original BBC epis are a scream. If you haven't seen them, I hope they come back to BBC America.
