How could he have spelled "fookin'" so badly wrong? Note that it is properly punctuated, though.

5. Slightly off topic, I suppose, but years ago I took an overnight
bus/ferry trip from Paris to London. Seated near me on the bus was a rowdy group of drunk, brash young Scottish soccer players from Glasgow. One in particular thought it was duty and obligation to entertain me with jokes all night long. His Scottish brogue was so heavy I had no idea what he was saying, but he'd pause and insist that I laugh at every punchline. If I didn't, he'd repeat the joke. Very memorable experience.
