Don't know if I should be upset or not....got a phone call
and when I answered, the woman inquired, Roger?? I said no, I'm Colleen and she said oh, could you please let Roger know that his pictures are ready.....I said I would, I thanked her for calling and hung up. I think she thought I was a man. It's happened before, I guess I must have a lower then the normal female voice. Don't know if I should be upset or not..... I guess it's ok.

1. No reason to be upset. It's ok.
My voice is lower than most women's. I don't take it as an insult that people have mistaken its register as male. No big deal.

3. Does anybody named Roger live there?
I got a 2 AM call for Janice once. I try to answer 2 AM calls, since I assume they might represent emergencies. But there's no Janice here, and never has been, and I told the caller that. Argument ensued: it was really important to get Janice on the phone, I guess. Finally, the caller gave up and hung up -- and then called again: same argument. Caller optimistically tried calling back about five times

4. I relived a Cheech and Chong movie yesterday at work with repeated calls on my cell phone:
Caller1: Jim?
Me: This is not Jim. No Jim here.

Caller2: May I speak to Jim? I've got his car paperwork...
Me: This is not Jim's number, don't know Jim.

New Voice Message: This is --- with Nissan. You drove a car this weekend...
Me: dialed # and was leaving a voice message, I'm not Jim, not married, don't know Jim, don't want a Nissan cause I like my Toyota....

Co-Workers: Hey, Nissan's calling you back on the office line (freaky!)

Caller1: You called?
Me: You have the wrong #. Jim's going to loose his car.

Caller3: Yeah, I need to speak to Jim cause I've got his paperwork ...(shuffle)...
Me: This is the 5th call for Jim. Jim's not here, don't know Jim, but I think he ought to call me for his messages now...

5. I've had that happen. I like to think of myself as Kathleen Turner-esque.
