PHOTO: MiddleFingerMom's only solo album after leaving the E Street Band sells for 6 figures on eBay

CNN BREAKING - Democratic Underground member MiddleFingerMom, who went by the stage name of "Little David Wilkins" in the mid-70s, sold the only known copy of his 1975 solo album "King of all the Taverns" for 6 figures on eBay, according to published reports.

"That's correct," MFM told CNN's reporters. I sold it for six Star Wars action figures, which were kind of melted because someone left them on the dashboard during the summer while they were at the beach, but you can still sort of tell who they are. There's Hands Skywalker, Pricess Lee Lee, and the Cookie Monster, plus the robots...I can't remember their names...and some other guy in a black kaiser helmet. I don't know...I never actually saw the movie."

MFM released the album in late July 1975, just two weeks prior to Bruce Springsteen's release of the "Born To Run" album. Upon learning of his departure to pursue a solo career, Springsteen remixed the album, completely removing MFM's oboe solos (every track had one), background vocals, plus photos and credits from the album's liner notes. "Born To Run" went straight to the #1 position on the charts upon its release, while "King Of All The Taverns" had an initial pressing of 25 copies, 24 of which were returned to the record label and melted down during the "Great Vinyl Scare" of 1976.

Neither Bruce Springsteen nor MiddleFingerMom could be reached for comment.
