2. I had room. It was heavy traffic. I believe he was trying to turn left.
But instead of merging into the left turn lane that was plainly marked, he just slammed on his brakes.
After coming to a stop, which inadvertently caused me to bend over onto the handlebars, I was super angry and honked my horn. The guy didn't do anything. And...well you know.
3. Um... as a motorcyclist for a total of 17 years... one question?
. . . How do you feel when someone behind YOU rides your ass too tight to stop in an emergency situation? . . . I'll be the first and the loudest to complain about assholes who endanger bikers with their nonchalance or ignorance or even fucking disdain. But I also accepted MY part of the equation (unfair and/or unequal though it always was. . . . Yeah, yeah. The driver in front of you had no GOOD reason to slam on the brakes. . . . My question STILL stands. Sometimes it's not enough... but YOU are usually the only one in control of your situation -- the only one ULTIMATELY responsible and -- sometimes -- the only one to BLAME for your safety or your tragedy when everything you are is hanging out there so vulnerably. . . . Usually. But virtually ALWAYS when the "asshole" is in front of you. . . . I wanted to kick not only the cars, but many of the drivers BEHIND me. Repeatedly. HARD. AGAIN. . . . I had only myself to kick when they were in front of me. . . . Whether I was in a car or on my bike. . . . And HEY!!! Slow down. Let's be careful out there. Too many of us die needlessly. . . .
