1. I regret that I have only one vote to give for my brown liquor of choice!
And I'm havin' me a bourbon or four when I get home!

But lately I discovered Woodford Reserve, and holy moley it's SMOOOOOTH as silk!!!!!

This evening, I'll just be havin' a round with my "Very Old" friend Barton.

13. I have enjoyed Knob Creek also!
There's a lot of really excellent bourbons out there now! One might call it the Golden Age of Bourbon, in fact!

By the way, there's one called Baker's (no relation!) that is also very good, something like 109 proof -- it'll sneak up on you and POW!

15. I know Baker's. Knob, Booker's, and Basil Haden's are excellent small batch
from J. Beam.

I would have done more but we had just gotten our asses kicked in the senate race, and I was ready to go home at that point.

18. Bourbon. When I used to drink, I liked J.W. Dant...Not fancy, but
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 06:32 PM by old mark
pretty good, IIRC.
(NOTE: I liked the Dant from almost 25 years ago, the last time I had any...I understand the new stuff is made by someone else and is not at all the same.)

21. Coruba Jamaican rum.
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 06:55 PM by DinahMoeHum
No artificial caramel color in Jamaican rums - it is all sugar and its byproducts (it's the law out there)

The buttery caramel feel in the mouth is absolutely divine.

22. 100 Pipers is the best cheap blended Scotch around.
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 07:04 PM by trof
When I retired I had to dial back my more expensive tastes in Scotch.
100 Pipers suits.
$17.99 for the 1.75 liter with a 10% case discount around here if you pay with cash or check.
Good enough for an old Scot sot like me.
:-)

On edit: Yeah, I fully expect all the single malt snobs to chime in.
