2. The smilie is there for a reason

the second link is to the fictitious but hilarious "Institute for the Study of the Neurologically Typical", created by a group of Autistic people to turn the tables on the NTs by treating neurotypicality (the absence of autism) as though it were abnormal.

So no, I certainly an mot laughing at autism. I'm laughing at the rest of you! :P

3. Ooooops! That's what I get for being a busy body! I guess I was

afraid of a destructive flame war, or at the very least, some hurt feelings!

I can't claim to be anywhere on the autistic spectrum, but I've been on the outside looking in my entire life. I really do think there are a lot more people on the autistic spectrum than the scientists realize, it's just that a lot of people are smart enough to pass as neurotypical most of the time.
