OK, I'm a Trekkie - but that is one hell of a good episode of any show.

1. Agreed, good episode.
At least it got Tasha Yar a decent history besides being killed by a glob of whatever ...

I just love the transition at the beginning form normal ST:ENG to this.

3. Of course, her half-Romulan daughter turns out to be a poop.
What was her name, Selena? Doesn't she team up with the two Klingon sisters trying to take over the Klingon Empire? Anyway, that was interesting, too. I get confused, though. Probably went through a time warp sometime around 1967.

4. The actress to plays Yar actually proposed the concept and it was accepted...
It also was the first cross-season cliff-hanger 2-parter (season 3 to season 4)

7. Can't... Control... Geek... Powers...
I love how Denise Crosby came up with the idea and that it got accepted. So incredibly awesome that the producers of the show were willing to listen to an idea from an actress who still liked the series and wanted to be a part of it.

"Yesterday's Enterprise" aired in the middle of the third season (on February 19, 1990 according to Memory Alpha - http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Yesterday%27s_Enterprise_%28episode%29). The two-part cliffhanger that ended Season 3 and carried into Season 4 was "The Best of Both Worlds" Parts 1 and 2 (still the golden standard for cliffhangers to this day, IMO).

Season 4, however, ended with a cliffhanger with the episode "Redemption, Part 1" that, at the very end, featured Sela, who was Tasha Yar's daughter from a Romulan, as a result of Tasha Yar being sent back in time with the Enterprise C during the alternate-timeline events of "Yesterday's Enterprise," then being captured by the Romulans after their victory over the Klingons at Narendra III, the battle in which the Enterprise C was destroyed. Season 5 began with "Redemption, Part 2" in which we learn about who Sela is and how she came to be.

Whew. I feel better now. Sorry for being such a geek for a second there. :hide:

8. Yeah, I know. I thought about that at 3:00 in the morning - it was "Best of Both Worlds"...
... that was her idea. Originally, in her idea, Yar would have ARRIVED pregnant back in time on the Enterprise C. They went with the idea but changed it so that she would be impregnated after going back and by a Romulan.
