George RR Martin has updated his "A Dance with Dragons" update on his website and says the book WILL be published on July 11, 2011! That's awesome news! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

It was so long between books 3 and 4 that I got frustrated with Book 4 when I picked it up & couldn't remember a lot of the characters. So, I never even read book 4 (A Feast for Crows)

I think once the series is completed, I'll start over from the beginning.

7. ja ja ja! never in my life have I waited so long, so eagerly for a book...

part of me really wants to hate GRRM. He has, in some ways, become the Truman Capote of fantasy, endlessly talking about the next book, that never...quite...gets written.

But the series is so phenomenally, earth-shatteringly good that I forgive him all his sins, and I will probably be outside Powell's Books at midnight on release day to get my grubby hands on a copy.

(and the early clips from HBO's "Game Of Thrones" look really, really sweet)
