6. Tony Shaloub had some of the best lines:
"Hey guys, I just wanted you to know that, the reactors won't take it; the ship is breaking apart and all that... Just FYI."

So calm in the face of danger, or is that clueless?

9. Neither calm nor clueless -- well baked.
Shaloub is one of the best character actors around.

11. I didn't mean Shaloub was clueless,
just his character, but well-baked works, too ;)

My other favorite character for him was as Primo in "Big Night". While I like Monk, I prefer his movie roles :)

Darn, why is the only Protector 3D model I can find in MAX? I don't have MAX anymore and there's no conversion thingie for it outside of MAX. :( But I got a new Enterprise A lately to play with:

26. Can't you emulate the Windows desktop to make compatible programs
work on a Mac? I knew people doing that years ago, so I figured it was a standard thing for Macs these days...

When Scotty does get out, he should paint the whole thing with LCD paint and then he can set the ship's exterior to a proper Scottish plaid :P

42. Does anybody else remember this scene? My wife and I insist we saw in it the theater,
but it's not in the DVD. Its the scene where Guy is losing it, and Tony Shalhoub' character says "Maybe you're the plucky comic relief!"

In the scene my wife and I remember, Tony Shalhoub adds something about Guy's fictional character's last name and "Hey! Your character should even have a nickname!"

This explains why, at the end, during the opening of Galaxy Quest: The Next Generation, Guy's character has a nickname.

This scene is not in the DVD version.

Anyone besides me and my wife remember it?

44. Okay, I just watched the movie again.
Yes, I had to in order to find this line :P

It's at the point where Fred, Guy and the Thermian girlfriend Laliari are trying to figure out how to get into the control room that will restore the atmosphere to the barracks. Right after Fred calms down Guy with the line about being "plucky" he gets the idea to digitally convey the rock-monster into the same area to kill Sarris' guards there.

Earlier, Gwen has a great line on the mining planet with regards to Guy:

"Quick! Let's get out of here before one of those things kills Guy!"
