1. That IS a crappy ad, but mightn't it be considered "sampling", thus not requiring license? n/t

2. I think they did more than "sample"
Although I don't know...I've posted a few vids in "Political Videos" where I raised the same issue and people have responded that it's considered a "parody" or some other thing that flies under the legal / fair use radar.

My primary concern here is that I'd like to think that Lou didn't approve of it.

Robert Plant & Jimmy Page selling "Rock & Roll" for a Cadillac commercial? That sucked too, but it's exactly what I would have expected from them.

3. I don't think you can sample for a commercial
sampling for artistic purposes is a separate issue, afaik ...
