Does your cat hug you when you return home?
Banjo, my three-year-old tortoiseshell, does. Sometimes she gives me a kitty hug first thing in the morning when I get out of bed.

At first, I thought she was just wanting more head scratches when she put her paws up on my chest. Then, one day, she actually leaped off the cat tower and landed on my shoulder.

ChickMagic told me that Banjo was simply training her pink monkey to learn what her needs were.

2. Yep, I get kitty kisses, too
Axl, our 22-year-old tuxedo kitty who died this past December, was the master of the kitty headbutt. Sweet little guy.

3. NoName, my last cat (a tuxedo) would be sitting at my face-level when I walked in the door.

I'd talk to her and she would lean in and give me one kiss (and ONLY one kiss)
right smack on the lips (and she didn't kiss me at any other time, though she
was by FAR the most affectionate cat I'd ever been with).

5. As soon as I sit down at the computer.
She jumps on my lap and wants to scratch her head on my head. This doesn't happen on any other chair or in bed or on the sofa. Just when I sit at the computer. Weird.

6. All of mine demand acknowledgement in their own way every day.
One always seems to be looking out the window I come home, two have to be petted every morning, one just seems content with being said "Morning" to, and the last makes little half-meow to get petted.

14. Is it a roll, or more like a flop?
Bonnie, our ragdoll (1994-2007), had a tendency to just flop - on the floor, in your lap, wherever. Sometimes she'd flop so hard you'd hear her grunt as she hit the floor. Silly kitty.

8. We have an unshakeable morning routine.
Since Bunny is a madwonam in the middle ofthe night we shut herout of the bedroom. She hears me get up and sa soon as I open the door she flings herself at my feet, belly up for a belly rub. That and when I walk in the front door are the only times she wants one. So I guess it's her version of "Where the hell have you been!?"

9. My tortoiseshell does, too!!
She loves laying on top of the fridge...my apartment kitchen is right by our front door so as soon as I open the door and step in I see her hovering 3 feet above me and she is MEOWING loudly!! It can kinda be a freaky moment because the fridge is partially behind a wall and she'll stick just her head around that wall. So when I walk in all I see is her head with her mouth WIDE open as she meows.

And she loves to cuddle. Heaven forbid I not LOOK at her when she is in a cuddly mood. She takes her paw and pats my face or arm...like "ahem..excuse me, I'm talking (meowing)to YOU".

Then there is the "rub my belly pose"

13. Nah, they don't care

But it's probably because I'm home more often than not. Usually the evil pisspot "mows" at me incessantly first thing in the morning as I'm trying to get MG Jr. off to school, because she wants her special chicken "NOW!!!" (There's a reason we call her an evil pisspot.)

The other one, the mellow airhead, just waits for me to sit down on the couch. Then she'll do the "kitteh scarf" thing...or sit on my laptop and/or work...or otherwise help/hinder.

Sometimes the mellow pisspot will be awake in the middle of the night and, if I move one iota, she'll start head-bonking me so I'll pet her. ("Oh good you're awake--how about some pettings?" *bonk*) She did that at 4 a.m. last night. FUN! :eyes:

17.  Sort of... She comes out to greet me

I live in a neighborhood of older homes made into apartments with no off street parking. My car is just a normal automobile that doesn't sound different to me but my kitty knows when I come home. While I'm parking I see her jump out the window (her door) and come down to the end of the front walk where, when I get close, she sits up on her hindquarters and waves her front paws. Every time. She's a sweetie.
