What's your favorite appetizer?

Mine's the stuffed mushrooms at an old Colonial-era restaurant in King-of-Prussia, PA.

.
.
I would sometimes order 2-3 of the appetizers instead of an entree. I tried every time to
get the recipe from the chef, but he would say, "Why would you bother coming back if
you could make it at home?"
.
.
He UNDOUBTEDLY did things like simmer veal stock for three whole days.

4. Mussels
Mussels in a light broth with scallions and tomatoes maybe some garlic and sausage--whatever the chef does.

I find them a good start to any meal. They sound more filling then they actually are and rarely overpower the actual entree.

Mussels are my favorite appetizer and often my favorite part of the meal.

5. Velvitta cheese cubed, mayo, black olives diced, green onions chopped, mayo and curry powder.
Mix together and spread on an english muffin cut in 8. Bake in the oven at 350 for about 8 minutes. They get all puffy.
