Pops in to say HI after a LONG time away :)

Just wanted to pop in say HI to the DU Lounge, a place that I spent posting for many hours years ago. If you don't remember me, I understand but I never forgot any of you :) I began posting on this site when I was 23 years old and I am now 30 years old - time flies! All the talk about going back to college to finish degree was put into action last Fall. I ended my first semester back in college with a 4.0. Working full time while going to school full time is hard work, I have zero time for anything but textbooks these days. It feels like a different lifetime for me when I first joined this site back in October 2003, but I am glad it existed because it kept me sane living under the DUBYA years.

Hope that life has been going well for all of you!!!!

Thank you! One semester down, many more to go. I feel so much more at peace now that I went back. I plan on staying around a bit more :) Really missed this place.

Been posting on DU only since 2007, and the lounge since maybe 2008, so I'm thinking our paths never crossed here, but hi and welcome anyway, and congratulations on your success back in college. BTW, I went back in my 30's and finally got my Bachelor's degree at 34. Sometimes it's easier to do that successfully when you've matured a little, at least that's what it took for me.

It's only stressful when I am trying to retain lecture information after being up for work at 5am while sitting in a three hour class. I know it will be worth it when I get my degree.
