1. Cool. Number 27 just sent me a-googling.

Partly because of the fake-looking people, I wondered if it could be CGI, but apparently it's in Barcelona. It's a late 19th century church that has never been completed.

2. Yes - the Sagrada Familia!

That is an incredible building and is one of the few on the list I recognized right off. The architect's work is seen throughout Barcelona and all of it is amazing, if you ever get a chance to go.

visiting what I thought was a strange-looking church built around a ruined tower, and I also remember being inside a church with a brilliantly blue-lit interior around the same time

8. The Dom in Cologne is creepy.....but rather awesome.

I walked up on one of those elevated platforms at La Sagrada Familia. The view is awesome. But personally, I think it's the ugliest of the Gaudis in Barcelona.

We toured Dom Köln on a dark winter day. All those dark spaces and human body parts in fancy cases. Very creepy. Maybe it would have been a different experience on a bright summer day.

Originally named for Ben Hill Griffin (Kathryn Harris' grandfather) it was dedicated about the same time Wireman became President of the then Florida Presbyterian College in 1969.

I attended that college in 1970-1971. Only went in the chapel once for an artist production based on the Beatles Abbey Road. I always thought of it as the Spider Cathedral.
