Help. My tv sound is off. It worked fine when I turned it off last night. I've already unplugged it
and uncabled it but that makes no difference. Any ideas? Earphones don't work in it either.

3. I tried that. It says "digital out". No other options are there.

5. Check the owners manual
I've never used digital audio, but I think there's a switch on the back of my set for it. Maybe a pet switched it.

7. I have a Samsung
If I go to "Menu", then to "Sound", I can go to "Speaker Select", is it at all possible that you sat on your remote? It has happened to me.

9. I did a sound test and it worked fine. But I can't get anything but the test pattern for sound to
work.

12. Do you use the TV speakers or external?
There are so very many ways that you can loose sound if you have it hooked up to an external system. What is your source? If you have more than one, say a cable box and a DVD player does one work or are both without sound? You said the TV said digital sound on my TV that would mean that my sound output was going from the TV into the receiver via optical cable out or maybe coax out (so I would be using external speakers.)

Tell us about your setup and the model TV you have.
