How many people are on your ignore list?
And what's the main reason you have them on it? Just curious.

2. There are currently 29, and the vast (and I do mean overwhelming) majority
are there because they routinely spam(med) the lounge with stupid posts. I have those on Level One Ignore, so I don't have to see their OPs but I can see their responses in other threads. There are really only a couple of people that I never want to see here, and they are on Level Three Ignore.

My reasons are about the same- I find some posters annoying or I'm tempted to argue with em too much. I'll have to check this "levels of ignore" thing out!

I find it funny when I see others arguing with 'ignored' in sub-threads.

Looking at the list, seems a few have had a pizza and left the building...

Your post is funny. I get there is no reasoning sometimes. There are times when I don't reply because it's not worth the trouble. I've seen too many discussions that go from disagreement to ignore just because of disagreement.

Ignore only really makes sense to me in a stalking situation.

47. I had 0 for years, now have about 5 or 6
mostly because of the boredom factor. I don't add people because I disagree with them. I've added a few because sometimes half a forum is taken up with their inane and boring posts which really should have been PMs. And now, thanks to the ignore feature, as far as I'm concerned they are! No more scrolling through three pages of threads to find one or two that I'm interested in replying to.

17. Me too
But I wish Skinner would take Kali's suggestion about being able to add a quick message to self next to those names regarding why they are there. I've got an odd mixture of folks who have made both bad AND good impressions on me but have since forgotten who is who. Kind of a dumb thing to have done on my part, but I honestly thought at the time of adding them that I'd have a better memory as to why. Oh well.

Not dumb at all, this memory thing just blindsided me. I keep a small notebook at my desk. I have to. I think we are close to the same age, it is a hormonal thing, so frustrating. I take Maca and Piracetam, an old, time tested, memory enhancer.

Sounds promising and worth a try. Particularly the Piracetam. I'm always looking for things like this. Acidophillus for ex. has helped me greatly w/digestive issues, and I use Melatonin for sleep. Still have some insomnia but not nearly as bad.

Most are either Lounge spammers with elementary-school level wit, or GD 'writers' or 'satirists' who can do neither well.

Some are no doubt tombstoned, I don't care enough to find out. (On edit: OK, I went to find out: 7 are tombstoned)

I find the judicious use of 'Ignore' keeps 'My DU' an overall pleasant experience.

Plus one of the guys got real pedantic in explaining mathematical inequalities to me...which I understand pretty well btw, his was ill defined and seemed to imply that we all agreed that the Clash was a great band.

And if there is one thing the Lounge has taught me--there is NO musical question upon which we all agree!

53. yeah, but depending on style, that is how admin forced ignores can happen
}(

of which I have one, which in retropect is fine. the person was someone I formerly had some things in common with, but they turned into a real asshole - PMing me with rude nasty comments. (in retrospect, I think they were always an asshole - always spouting off their "superior" "credentials" and putting others down in the most base way)

I have two others that were requested by the two individuals, fairly sure the same two as Tuesday Afternoon and CAPeggy, up thread. Agree with what they said - not really sure why, never had a bad interaction of the few we did have and WTF? they REQUESTED a forced mutual ignore, rather than just putting me (us) on ignore themselves???
