Poll question: Does Janet Jackson still have it?

Musically speaking, I mean? This has been a hot topic. I have the album janet. and enjoy it quite a bit. Also like what I've heard from her earliest stuff. It seems to me she's settled into too much of a bland R&B groove lately, while before she was more creative. I heard Damita Jo on the full album listening party, and think even All For You was better. The lyrics on Damita Jo are sexy, but not all that unique. And newer R&B singers like Ashanti and Amerie are more attractive IMO. Fortunately, Damita Jo still has a few standouts. My opinion: Damita Jo C+, All For You B-, janet B+, earlier stuff A to A-.

3. Always pretty second-rate
Never would have heard of her had it not been for Michael Jackson's (who did put out some very good music in the late 70's-early 80's) fame.
