My cat is a junky-she's hooked on shoe polish
Where have we gone so very wrong?!?!?!?

She's a "huffer".

Pepper( "The girl", "assistant to the chief turdmaker", "the furry menace") has developed the ability to open my dresser drawers. The procedure is more impressive than you can imagine-once she has her claws locked into the top of the draw she jumps both feet up onto the molding at the bottom and the leans back as if she was reeling in a big game fish off the back of a boat. She often "nests" in my sock and *sigh* yes the underwear drawers-my DRAWS drawer :bounce:

She also has started opening by "junk drawer" which is 2'X18"X3". Inside I have my shoe polish applicator (yes I still shine my shoes) and in another drawer the shining brush.

I have not only found the applicator in several spots around the apartment but have seen her carrying it around and then sniffing it.

Is there some sort of treatment/support group for this sort of thing?

Freaking hippie cat!

4. You may want to store your shoe polish somewhere else.

Substances That Are Hazardous to Cats

How come we always seem to like what is bad for us? People and fur persons too.

5. Thanks-she may be evil but she is an evil GENIUS
Past engineering accomplishments:

Drawing herself a bath(but didn't get in)-jammed washcloth into the drain and cranked the hot water on full blast.

Created "staircase" in/on bookcase to climb to the top-this was when she was still small enough to fit in my baggy bathingsuit pockets.

Opened both closets in the apartment-I've put latches on them which she somehow figured out how to unlatch at least once.

Got inside the "kid proofed" cabinet.

Able to pull on the towel to open the oven.

Hit my snooze alarm once.

She is a year and a half old.

8. That's not a cat; that's a super cat!
They are very danger(thank God lions aren't that danger)
and require extra kitty treats.
