3. They're all cute until they are pawing your face in an attempt to wake you from...
precious, needed, hangover avoiding sleep.

5. My cats let me sleep as long as I want to.
I think this is because when they wake up
and look around they figure they can get yet
another cat nap in before I require coffee.

4. That's great!
LOLcats really do give us all inner peace, I think. They hit the "aww" spot, and anytime that is accomplished is a good moment.

6. Ever notice that cats always stretch after a sleep
We humans could learn from that concept. The cats try to teach us but
we feel superior. That is all I have to say.

7. Ever read Henry Beston's work>
You should read "The Outermost House" which he wrote in or around 1925. There is a very famous quote from it that sums up your comment--and it's one of my favorite quotes of all time:

“We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature, and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.”

Sums it up nicely, don't you think? My sig quote is also from Henry Beston.
