It's Saturday night. What are you drinking?
I'm drinking Four Loko watermelon flavor. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about this week so I bought two cans. So far, so good. It has the ingredients of Red Bull, but with 12% alcohol. :)

What's your poison?

1. Aitch two oh, my dear Lucian!
I very rarely drink alcohol...but I will next Saturday!

It's my birthday, and I always have a glass of wine with dinner!

4. Wine is good.
:)

What is your favorite? My favorite wine to drink anytime is Rutherford Hill Merlot 2002. I love the nice aftertaste of cherry and chocolate. :)

Merlot is also wonderful...

You sound like a connoisseur!

15. I'm far from a connoisseur.
I hope to be one someday. :) I read and research wines before I purchase them. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference, but I like to see what other experts say about a particular wine first.

I like cheap wines and expensive wines. My favorite "cheap" wine is Red Bicyclette French Rose. It's good, with a taste of strawberry and raspberry. It's kind of dry with the finish, but it's great anytime. :)

8. I finished one can already.
I feel buzzed, but nothing else. I'm used to drinking energy drinks (Amp Overdrive) every day, so this is nothing for me. But it's 23.5 oz, so there's plenty of alcohol to go around. :)

I've never felt this messed up on alcohol before. I have a strange buzz. Unusual. But nothing to worry about, I'm sure.

11. Why'd you type "bye?"
Jameson is good stuff. Top notch Irish whiskey. It's smooth, something you drink to enjoy, not to get shitfaced.

You ever try Glennfiddich 15 year old single malt scotch? Great stuff. It's $50 a bottle, but it goes down really smooth and the taste is earthy and oaky. But it leaves you feeling warm. :)

35. 151, Bacardi Gold, Blue Curacao, and Orange Juice
1 shot of the first three (some people put a second shot of blue curacao) and then 8-12 ounces of orange juice. I often substitute orange soda for orange juice--the green isn't quite as brilliant, but I like the taste just a bit better.

I first encountered them at McGuires Irish Pub down in Florida ... good times: http://www.mcguiresirishpub.com/

17. I was given some
homemade plum wine. It is THE best wine I have ever tasted. And the buzz is warm.

I'm going to hit up the guy that made it for a gallon or two. I thought Old South muscadine was the best until tonight.

My favorite is Japanese Umeshu (Choya). It makes for a great aperitif or as a standalone drink. I could consume a bottle of that in one night. :)

28. I tried some of that Choya
It has an unusual taste. Nice, not harsh.

Every once in a while I like Hennessy. It burns but the taste is great.

after I puked it up one night. But it's good. It goes down smooth, and the taste is fantastic. It even tastes good coming back up. ;)

I LOVE Hennessy. Cognac is really good in the winter time.

LOL !!!!!

I will say this, I have never had a wine hangover in my life. And I drank a bottle by myself one time. I was spinning but never threw up or had that nasty stomach the next day.

I do however get very drunk very quick on wine.

22. I don't know if Shiner "exports" outside of Texas,
or if they do, it's only to neighboring states. They're not a very big brewery, but big enough to supply the state :)

Come down here and we'll give you plenty of Holiday Cheer!

41. I can get it here in Illinois -- you may be able to get it up there
It's only within the last 2.5 years that they've been available here -- used to not go farther than Missouri. But since they're in Illinois now (you can find Shiner Bock at all the grocery stores here, and other varieties, including the Shiner Cheer, depending on the store) they might be up there as well ...

It's good stuff :toast:

42. for whatever reason, I didn't like the Shiner Cheer as much this year as last
I remember really liking it last year, but I had my first bottle of the season last week and though it was just okay. It left me wishing I'd gotten a family pack instead, so that I could be sipping on the Shiner Black. That's some good stuff. :)

I'll probably give the Cheer another shot here in a bit, though ...

34. My daughter went away with her...
"friend" and he had two of those, she said he was sitting in a chair in the hotel room one minute and just got up without a word and left the room. She fell asleep and when she woke up, he was sitting in the same chair naked, sweating, she asked him why he was sitting there naked and he said he was tired he went and played basketball cuz his heart felt like it was gonna leap out of his chest. The next morning he didn't remember he'd done that.
