When does UPS make truck deliveries?
I don't want to hang around the house all day if my order won't come until late afternoon.

2. They just dropped off six trucks in my back yard about an hour ago.

My driver comes almost exactly at 13:30 every day.

4. They start in the morning - maybe 8:30-ish, and go into the evening.
I've gotten deliveries in December as late as 7, maybe even 8 pm.

Normally they're done by 5 pm, though.

You can call your UPS place and ask them - the trucks have pretty specific routes (UPS loves logistics!!) so they will be in your neighborhood at pretty much the same time every day.

6. they have different routes
they work all day, so it depends on where you are on their route

Sometimes, it's easier to just wait until you get an "attempted delivery" thing, then go to the distribution center

8. They always deliver late afternoon.
For some reason, businesses come first. :eyes:

9. After they tell you to wait all day, then around 7 P.M.
Seriesly, whenever there's a choice, I select the Postal delivery because they leave the stuff (O.K., they THROW it!1), sometimes bending the rules to do it.

UPS/Fed-ex are good for businesses that have an OFFICE with SOMEBODY present to receive stuff, and, yes, home delivery means us being tied down.

Plus, the UPS dudes have been "empowered" by the t.v. comedic stereotypes of their being supposedly "hot" and they seem to have taken on a cock o'the walk attitude. They seem to think that everybody, male or female, is making an advance.

The most recent time I got an e-mail saying, yes, it would happen anytime between 8 A.M. and 7 P.M., and sure enough it was at 6:30. The dude honked the horn obnoxiously while he drove up, then barely shoved the tablet at me like an "X" or a running mark of any kind would do and already had his back turned to run off. I said, "Do you all start with the outskirts of town then leave the central part for last? Because it's always near 7 P.M. when you get here." He stopped dead in his tracks like he was shocked somebody had dared question him. He turned and actually seemed to run a mental check to verify I had actually asked a question, then said, "We do businesses first, then we have tracks we run by."

I realize that there is some way to set an appointment time. Since I hardly use them at all, I don't know what the procedure is offhand. Also, when I asked to be able to pick the stuff up at the UPS place, they said they were required to attempt two deliveries first or something.
