1. My dear NNadir...
This is a fascinating painting, and so complex...

I need someone to explain it to me.....can you?

Welcome back, sweetie...

I've missed your presence, and your postings of these art works.

2. Thanks, Peg.
I needed a break - I still need a break.

I'm not sure I'm capable of interpreting this work, but I am very impressed by Sattler whose work reminds me of other East Coast contemporaries, including Mel Leipzig and Scott Prior, the rich details, the feeling of highly ordered clutter.

Sattler is a very fine artist, whose still lives all are in fact figure paintings.

He's a professor of Fine Arts at Skidmore, a place I'd love to send my boy if I can swing it, so that he might study under Sattler. That would be an outstanding opportunity for any young artist.

My boy's got the grades for it, certainly (at this point), but I'm not sure if I'll have the resources.
