Can you solve the mystery of the psychedelic crows? A true story. This morning as I was

walking to the market I noticed what appeared to be a crow perched on a neighbors retaining wall. It was unusual in that it's head, wing tips, and breast were bright iridescent orange. As I continued on I saw more and more of these birds perched in trees, on fences, and walking along the sidewalk and in the street.

33. Crows are so smart!

The taking turns is what I am responding to. I have a big tree with a family of squirrels living in it. I put peanuts into the an area where the trunk splits off for them. The crows watch for me and then line-up so each one hops up, takes a peanut and then gets out of the way. They are polite and organized.

I do know the Power of the Cheetos quite well, but with hoomins. Mr. MG lurves his Cheetos. Back when we were dating, we worked in the same place. A few of us were sitting around after hours; he was eating some Cheetos and sitting at my boss's desk (open office plan) and made a phone call with my boss's phone. The next morning... "WHY are all my phone buttons ORANGE?"

Luckily he was a very laid-back boss--just laughed once we figured it out.

I know that hummingbirds can sometimes look yellow or orange from pollen in flowers they're feeding from.

I suppose this is the same effect.
