2. I really hated the Chuck Jones years.
And I dearly love Chuck Jones' work at Warner Bros.

The storylines he worked with made Jerry too cute, Tom too much like Wile E. Coyote, and basically made everything too nice. The artwork and animation were second to none, but the stories just weren't funny.

The middle of the H-B era for me, when they started to get influenced by Tex Avery.

4. Hanna Barbera
Of course... particularly the late 40's when they were trying to compete with Tex Avery. Fast paced, great poses, good gags... classics.

Gene Deitch - always drew them off model.

Chuck Jones - made Jerry way too cute.

Later Hanna-Barbera - give me a break

9. Cartoon network seems to be showing them in order
They just showed Puss Gets the Boot, The Midnight Snack, The Night Before Christmas, and now they are on Fraidy Cat, that's the first 4 cartoons.... I hope they continue that way!
