My PC won't run my new game - CIV 5 :-(

My girlfriend got my a copy of CIV 5 for our anniversary..
My PC doesn't have some gaming crap and I can't play it..

The horror..the horror..

1. my kids had a game that wouldnt work cause of the fire wall. pissed me off

2. Ah, the time honored practice of waiting.

I've had to hold on to a couple of games over the years while I've waited to get a new computer. Warcraft III for my old computer that I bought in 2004, and the latest one enabled me to play Knights of the Old Republic II that I had bought a couple of years earlier.
