2. None of those mentioned; the Honor Harrington series by David Weber
would be my greatest delight.

6. As far as military science fiction goes,
I'd love to see Harry Harrison's Bill, the Galactic Hero :D

3. I'm looking forward to all of them, save I am Number Four and Battleship.

I will see all the others and that is a 100% certainty!

Thanks for posting the trailers.

5. Pretty much none of them.
Monsters - Humans vs. Mean Aliens (aka "Aliens Destroy the World")

Skyline - "Aliens Destroy the World"

Transformers 3 - not even going to bother looking

Green Lantern - I can't tell enough about this one to determine much. I'll wait until people I trust have seen it.

Captain America: The First Avenger - Again, hard to tell much of anything. I'll wait.

Cowboys & Aliens - I think I'd rather see Galaxina again :P

I am Number Four - Probably won't bother. As one of the comments suggested, it looks like the forgettable "Jumper".

Thor - Don't know. Not excited by its existence.

Battleship - Looks like the only good one of the bunch. It reminds me I need to buy a copy of Casshern, as watching it on youtube isn't good enough :D

Personally, I wouldn't put the category of "superheroes" in with science fiction, even though it might seem like they match. Technically, I suppose.

What I want to see in the way of science fiction is going with the stories that make it a great genre, such as Arthur C. Clarke's "Rendezvous with Rama" or "Childhood's End", Larry Niven's "Ringworld", Frederick Pohl's "Heechee Saga", and even further back to the likes of A.E. van Vogt's "Slan" and James Blish's "Cities in Flight". These are all great science fiction stories and could be brought to the screen. The only problem Hollywood might have with them is they do require a bit more intelligence to comprehend and accept. Ringworld could at least be a more 'adventuresome' movie, while the rest tell a much broader story. "Childhood's End" is an "end of the world" story, but far different than any others Hollywood produces.

I want science fiction movies that make me ponder the story beyond half an hour after viewing on the way home ;)

12. Monsters is nothing at all like what you expect it to be.
It's not even remotely close to an aliens destroy the world type movie. It's not even an action movie (not even close), and the monsters are merely the backdrop to the story being told, which is about the two main characters. It's the complete opposite of what you're thinking, trust me. It's the most interesting take on the big monster genre in a long time, but won't be for everyone because of it. Way better than Cloverfield (which I liked, but didn't love), imo.

13. Even if the 'big monsters' are only in the background
I doubt I'd like it. I have very little interest in monster movies, unless they're going for comedy, like say, Evolution :)

11. I've already watched Monsters, and I liked it a lot.
Pretty low key flick, more of a romance than monster pic, but cool anyways.

Skyline has me curious to see if it lives up to the trailer, which is intriguing.
