Anyone play the Doom 3 beta yet?
I heard the beta was leaked. Anyone get a chance to play it? What kinda specs are needed?

1. From what I've seen...
the minimum is a system with at least an Athlon 1400 or Intel 1800 MHz CPU (yes, this looks confusing, but AMD's numbers are performance ratings and Intel uses raw clock speed...my 2GHZ clock AMD chip is rated at 2400+), 256MB of RAM, and at least a 64-bit Geforce 3 or Radeon 8000-series video card.

2. I'm more interested in Half-Life 2.
But it's become standard practice to keep postponing the release dates of PC games.

The biggest vaporware of all time? Team Fortress 2, winner: best action game and best multiplayer game of E3, 1999. I've started using the phrase, "When Sierra releases Team Fortress 2" in lieu of "When Hell freezes over."
