3. I almost wrote them about this the other day!!!
The biodegradable bags have been out for years, so i wanted to know when they would get rid of the plastic bags altogether.

And then I saw that here they have already answered that question, it's step 44 of "Steps to a Healthier Planet":

"We intend to eventually make all of our packaging fully compostable. (TBD)"

It's a shame a few idiot consumers can derail that process.

4. I could MAYBE see justifiable irritation on the part of consumers if...
.
.
.
... they were actually innocent consumer bystanders and the person
next to them was keeping them awake with all his/her incessant chip
bag crackling.
.
.
.
However, the obvious (and MUCH greener) solution would be, yes...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
...to kick him/her out of bed for eating chips.
.
.
.

5. It's sad that SunChips has to do this......
rather than other snack companies having to change their bags to more environmental friendly alternatives.

I occasionally buy Sunchips, and while I don't like the bag, I'd rather be ever so slightly inconvenienced if it means I'm helping the environment.

They're biodegradable. That's what counts.

Gross, disgusting things, that.

19. Well, from a nutritional standpoint, you would do far better eating the damn bag.
Of course, that's true for MOST types of chips. Hard pretzels are generally much better snacks, especially if the salt is easy to knock off when there's just way to damn much of it.

And for the record, stay the FUCK AWAY from Bugles. They've got enough saturated fat to keep Rush Limbaugh happy for ten minutes (and that's saying something). The really sad thing is that they were my favorite snack as a kid and I was a skinny little thing. Um, well, things change. I'm back down to my normal 135 (from topping out near 170 three years ago), and a lot of that has to do with simply thinking about what and how much I'm eating. Oh, my blood pressure went from "near death level" to "quite normal" in the same time period.

21. Wow, congrats on your transformation
And yeah, people shouldn't eat most of that stuff. But we like it... I actually like the baked chips better so every now and then I make a dinner out of baked tortilla chips salsa and beans.

I like pretzels too and they are relatively innocuous but still just empty calories.

22. Tortilla chips (like for nachos) are actually one of the best munchies.
We're vegetarian so the dinner you mentioned is right up our alley. My problem was popping into dives for a grilled cheese at lunch (because that's all they had that I would eat). One a week is fine - but five or six is a major problem.

18. We've only had one bag of those, and it was actually pretty hilarious how loud
the bag was - driving down the road trying to quietly extract a SunChip provided a lot of miles' amusement. :)

Haven't had any since, but the bag wouldn't stop us from buying them - we just don't eat a lot of SunChips...

I'm curious to see how long it takes to break down.

Too bad they couldn't make quiet compostable bags.

17. Oh, good God. Have we REALLY become such weenies that we complain
about the sound that a bag of chips makes when you tear it open?

Don't we have ANY other problems to deal with in this country?
