1. I voted for Les Habs vs Leafs but...
...Les Habs and Beaners is a pretty good rivalry too. I remember some excellent games between those two.

5. Detroit-Chicago and Detroit-St. Louis
are some pretty good ones in terms of pure hatred.

(This is not to be misconstrued with freeperdom.)

6. Well, nowadays the big Detroit rivalry is with the Colorado Avalanche.

Anyone remember the Brawl in Hockeytown in '97?

Northwest, you should have put Wings vs. Avs in there. In fact, you should replace "Avalanche vs. Canucks" with that one. The Steve Moore incident happened only very recently, way too soon for any Avalanche-vs-Canucks rivalry to qualify for your poll. The Avalanche-vs-Red Wings rivalry, though, dates back several years.

8. Do you live in Detroit?
Detroit may have bigger fish to fry, but Chicagoans hate the Red Wings, as do Missourians.

7. What? No Calgary / Edmonton votes?
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 03:55 AM by HEyHEY
tsk tsk.

Nothing beats Montreal Toronto.
Calgary / Vancouver used to be the stuff of legends butnow is faded.
