2. If they wanted me dead.
They would have killed me already.

Easy way to remove fear of death.

7. I posted thoughts on that.
Maybe overcoming death is not dying, maybe it is not fearing death.

So either way, I don't worry about it.

8. Hmm. But it does court you. Nearer and nearer. As does it us all.
Everyday is a step closer.

Every waking minute another foothold for the reaper.

No fear from you? No panic?

14. LOL, If you want a serious discussion on the topic.
There have been instances in my life that fit that topic, yet I did not die even though I should have by all logical deduction.

Why would I panic, why would I fear, death has no power over me.

15. I don't know if I'm up to a serious discussion here. But yes, death does have power over you, it has
power over all of us.

It greets me warm. I race to meet it. Too much of this life. Circles and hoops and mazes I must navigate for no apparent reason. A welcoming inevitability. I don't fear it, but I find most that say the same thing actually do. It will come. It will come, and nothing you or I can do will stop it. These man-made chains are laughable. Build your empire. Be recognized. Lauded. It is all for naught. The reaper waits, amused. For you. For me. For us all.

16. You may think that, I do not.
So we will agree to disagree on that topic.

Cheer up, hear is a funny movie and also read the comments, they are pretty good.

It might help cheer you up.

17. Who said I need cheering up? Thanks anyway. I'll watch that tomorrow.
Tonight I'm listening to some of the best music ever made. Death is a frequent topic. It's where I find my attention becoming fixed tonight. Brutal, death metal. I like it. And I get it. Maybe it is a ship best sailed alone. The darkness. The mysterious sounds. The pondering of fate. All good stuff.

Until the next time, my friend. If there is a next time...

18. I have so many jokes I could make at this point.
But going to avoid them, but there could be some good ones.

So enjoy yourself, and be safe.

There are sequels to that episode also, pretty funny stuff.

3. Are you in a dark mood tonight, Skip?
Death is a common theme in Metallica's music. Their last album was all about a fascination with death. It was called "Death Magnetic." Hetfield is responsible for most of their lyrics and he has a dark psychological history.

6. Yup. Time is like a fuse, short and burning fast...
I just love good metal, man. Tends to break on the darker side. Years of decay, dust in the wind, all that. (Yes, I know dust in the wind isn't metal, same message, though).

Back to metallica..."death in the air, stuck in this electric chair, this can't be happening to me....."
