Philly has had 55 90 degree days this summer, the highest number ever recorded here.
Starting in May, till yesterday-which we hope is the last of the year.

Yesterday our back porch thermometer showed 103.5 late in the afternoon...supposed to be in the 80's today, so I might need a jacket!
Highs in the 70's predicted for the coming week after today. Almost normal.

1. The Weather Channel just said that DC had the worst summer in the US
this year, after having the second worst winter in the US. Yay DC!

4. Philly summers are traditionally awful...
but this has been the worst I've ever seen.
I hate heat, especially with swampland humidity.
Snow I don't mind.

7. This summer has been really terrible in the East - we have had higher temps
than Miami in June and July...and we ain't got no beach!
