So TLC is promoting another oversized family with a man who looks like a real creep

I just watched a 1 minute promo for TLC's new "Sister Wives", which is about a man and his 3 wives. As you know polygamy is practiced by the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints even though technically it's not legal.

What really creeps me out, this guy said in this promo that he 'joined the faith that would allow him to have multiple marriages'

This guy isn't even a true FLDS but some creep who just likes the idea of having alot of wives and TLC wants to make is family the next Gosselins.

If I was a member of the FLDS I would condemn this show.

I think bigamy is deceptively marrying two people, the civil union that the gov't has declared legal. This guy is legally married to only one of the women. If he's not passing the others off as legal then it's okay.

You can tell I'm sorta fascinated. He's creepy but the idea of sister wives to share the household with does have it's appeal. But then I'm middle aged so jealousy is, like, "Oh yeah sure, you deal with him this time." LOL! (I do love my husband)

5. I just saw him in an interview with Joy Behar...

And she asked him about the legality of his four marriages. He said that he is legally married to his first wife. He had religious ceremonies with the other three. I guess he means that they didn't have a legal marriage in the eyes of society...only in the eyes of their god. So he isn't actually committing a crime. That's my take on it.

12. TLC is a freak show nowadays

I mean no offense to the Little People who've been featured in their own shows on TLC. In fact, they and their families are the most average, middle-American people on that channel.

If it weren't for "What Not To Wear," I wouldn't watch TLC at all.
